SHORT DESCRIPTION

Endtide is a roguelite tower defence where the enemy is the ocean itself: a physically simulated sea that only rises. Wall a warm city, hold through named storms, and when a city drowns, wind the world clock back and found a better one.

LONG DESCRIPTION

Endtide is set on a drowning planet with one shared clock. The sea is not a wave spawner: it is a single deterministic fluid, simulated cell by cell, that pools behind ridges, funnels down valleys, and finds the gap you forgot. Battles are short, arcade-paced defences of a single coastal city: raise seawalls, run pumps and evaporators off a power grid the rising water itself can feed, and read each telegraphed tide round before it lands. The biggest storms are seeded and forecast like weather, and the resolve is honest: held, or overtopped.

The campaign is the war. Cities you found keep producing after you leave; their trade, science, and standing walls reshape the strategic flood for the years they hold. Some tiles are meant to fail, and failure banks something permanent. When a city is finally overwhelmed, the roguelite turn arrives: wind the world back and play those years again, stronger. Losing a city is not losing the war.

FEATURES
  • The enemy is a deterministic, physically simulated ocean; every flood is real flow, not scripted waves.
  • Tide rounds with character: fast bores, slow swells, smooth and rough crests, boss tides at the year's peak.
  • An engineering toolkit: seawalls, pumps, evaporators, channels, domes, and platform raisers.
  • A planetary campaign on one world clock, where founded cities keep contributing after you leave.
  • Rewind as the roguelite loop: branch a drowned city's timeline and play its years better.
  • A deterministic core: every run is a recorded, replayable take.

ABOUT

Endtide is built by , a solo developer with an unreasonable fondness for coastal engineering, deterministic simulations, and the moment a wall holds when the forecast said it would not. It stands on the shoulders of the games that made water a worthy enemy.
